Waste collection aims to return to missed areas today

Service Announcement

If your curbside waste collection was missed earlier this week during slippery road conditions, Waste Connections of Canada will attempt to send a truck around later today to empty your carts.

Areas of upper Wiltse and Valleyview, as well as Finnerty Avenue, could not be reached due to the icy roads. Residents are encouraged to place their carts to the curb for pickup later today, where possible.  Please note that some areas still may not be reachable.

If your garbage and recycling is not collected due to winter weather, please report any missed collections to Waste Connections of Canada by telephone at 250-490-3888, or by emailing csrpenticton@wasteconnections.com. Please also keep the following in mind if your waste is not collected:

  • Ensure the area around the carts is free of snow and access by the truck is not blocked.
  • If your garbage is not collected on the same week, residents can place an extra bag of garbage beside their carts on the following week.

In order to ensure your waste is always collected, please have your carts at their collection point no later than 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. For more information about waste collection, visit penticton.ca/garbage.
