Pay Transparency

In May 2023, the Government of British Columbia introduced the Pay Transparency Act to help close the gender pay gap across the province. Under this legislation, employers of a certain size are required to publish annual pay transparency reports by November 1 each year.

The City of Penticton is committed to equitable pay practices and fostering a fair, inclusive workplace. Our Pay Transparency Report provides aggregate pay data for the previous fiscal year and is designed to highlight trends rather than individual job-level comparisons. This transparency supports our ongoing efforts to identify and remove systemic barriers to pay equity.

By sharing this information publicly, we aim to promote accountability and strengthen trust with our employees and community. Together, we are working toward a workplace where compensation reflects fairness, equity, and respect for all.
