Penticton– Penticton motorists and cyclists commuting across the bridge along Nanaimo Ave should consider alternative routes Monday. Work now underway to restore Penticton Creek will require the bridge to be temporarily closed while pipes are moved into place. Alternative routes include using Van Horne Street/Wade Avenue or Abbot Street/Westminster Avenue.
“We would like to thank motorists and cyclists in advance for their patience Monday while this work is carried out”, said City Engineer, Ian Chapman.
The pipe being installed will be used to divert water past the section of Penticton Creek that is currently undergoing restoration work.
