The City of Penticton Recreation Department in partnership with the 55+ BC Games and the Regional District Okanagan Similkameen (RDOS) will be hosting ‘Give it a Try!’ again this year, Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.
‘Give it a Try!’ is a free, two-day session where people over 55 are given the chance to sample a variety of different sports related to the 55+ BC Games.
“After the success of last year’s event, we were more than happy to partner again to host this annual multi-sport event this year,” says Recreation Coordinator – Adults & Volunteers, Shaun Ironstone. “Being able to provide an opportunity to help improve the health, lifestyle and image of BC’s 55+ population through physical and social engagement is very rewarding.”
This is a free drop-in event for anyone over the age of 55. We do recommend coming early as space is limited per activity. For more information please call 250-490-2575 or email shaun.ironstone@penticton.ca.
