The City of Penticton, in conjunction with the RCMP, is advising residents that a series of active situations have concluded and the response is now transitioning into an investigation phase. All advisories previously communicated have been lifted.
“Residents with properties in the area of the 2400 block on Cornwall Drive or Lakeview Street, from Westminster Avenue West to Alexander Avenue, will be required to speak with RCMP Officers at the entrance way to these neighbourhoods as access is restricted,” said Donny van Dyk, Director, Emergency Operation Centre. “Today’s tragic events have been responded to by the RCMP. We thank the public for their cooperation while members attended all scenes.”
To support today’s response, the City of Penticton activated its Emergency Operation Centre.
All media inquiries should be directed to the Penticton RCMP Detachment.
