Cold Weather and Exterior Protection

Service Announcement

The Building Department would like to remind the Building and Construction community to ensure cold weather and exterior protections are in place when temperatures reach below 5°C.

When the air temperature is below 5°C, concrete shall be

  • kept at a temperature of not less than 10°C or more than 25°C while being mixed and placed, and
  • maintained at a temperature of not less than 10°C for 72 hours after placing.
