Deadline extended to apply for up to $500 Neighbourhood Small Grant

News Release

Residents can now apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant, providing up to $500 to host an activity within your community. So far, applications have only been submitted for one-quarter of the total $10,000 funding available, prompting an extension of the deadline to ensure funds are distributed.

The City of Penticton and Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen have partnered for the program, providing funding of $50 to $500 for residents to make their neighbourhoods greater places to live, work and play. The application process is easy and the deadline has been extended to May 31, 2022.

“We’d like to thank everyone who has applied so far,” said Adam Goodwin, Social Development Manager. “This is such a great way to get involved and to reconnect with your neighbours. We hope you can help us spread the word – the committee looks forward to receiving your applications.”
