Service Announcement
More than 1,500 racers and supporters will be gathering at Skaha Lake Park this weekend for the return of Penticton Dragon Boat Festival.
Residents are reminded to expect extra congestion in the area on Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and to anticipate busy parking lots.
The public is invited to take part in the festivities, which includes 10 food vendors, a vendors’ market and a beverage garden. The sport court will be closed for the two days during the event to make way for the beverage garden.
While there are no related road closures, residents are reminded to use caution and expect extra foot traffic in the area. For more information about the event, visit pentictondragonboat.com.
