Shannon Stewart is a long-term Penticton resident and proud mother of three boys. As a Penticton resident for more than 30 years , she has built deep roots in the community and brings both personal commitment and professional expertise to her role on City Council. Elected in 2025, Shannon offers a thoughtful, evidence-based perspective shaped by her Master’s degree in Social Work and years of leadership experience.
She has long been an advocate for individuals, families, and neighborhoods, as well as for accountable government. Known for her ability to listen, collaborate, and ask tough questions, Shannon focuses on practical solutions that strengthen public safety, ensure financial accountability, and build trusting relationships.
Outside of her council duties, Shannon enjoys time with her family and young granddaughter and values connecting directly with residents to better understand their priorities. She is recognized for her dedication and community-focused leadership, and remains committed to ensuring Penticton offers opportunity, stability, and a bright balanced future for all its residents.
