Winter Recreation Guide now available

The Winter Recreation Guide is now available online and in print at select locations. Classic programs and new opportunities return for residents to explore and enjoy, with registration opening at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

“We’re excited to release your go-to resource for seasonal activities, programs and fitness opportunities to help keep the community active and inspired all winter long. Whether you’re looking to explore new work outs, participate in creative workshops or try a drop-in activity, there’s something in this guide for everyone,” said Darcey Godfrey, recreation business supervisor. “Our goal is to provide opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active, have fun and make lasting memories throughout the season.”

This edition of the Recreation Guide continues offering community favourites in youth and adult programming including Family Shinny, Acro Kidz, Zumba and West African Drumming classes as well as new recreation opportunities such as dance fusion, junior groovers and Latin Dance. Also on offer are Active Ager programs like Power for Parkinsons and Chronic Conditions Self Management workshops and inclusive programming with UpperDek Vees, Friends in Motion, Friends in Music & Art and sensory friendly swims.

The guide will be available online at penticton.ca/recguide or can be picked up at the following locations:

Registration for programs opens at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 for residents and Thursday, Dec. 4 for non-residents. Swim registration sign up will be announced via Recreation Penticton’s social media channels in December.
