Share your views on future flight services for Penticton Airport

News Release

Dreaming of more flight options out of Penticton Airport? The City of Penticton wants to hear from you as it launches a study to assess demand for expanded air services.

Starting today, the City is inviting travellers to complete a short survey about their travel needs. Your feedback will help identify service gaps and, together with current passenger flight data, build a strong business case with the goal of attracting more flight options.

“Penticton Airport is a vital asset for our community and the entire South Okanagan, connecting residents, visitors and businesses, while contributing significantly to our local economy,” says Blake Laven, general manager of Development Services. “Our community is growing and we see opportunities for expanded air services. Your input will give us the data we need to make a compelling case that we can take to approach the airlines.”

Two surveys are now open, with one geared toward community members/leisure travellers and the second toward businesses. Both will remain open until midnight on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at shapeyourcitypenticton.ca/airportsurvey.

Penticton Airport is owned and operated by Transport Canada, located in the traditional territory of the SnPink’tn (Penticton Indian Band). It plays a critical role in the region, supporting over 200 jobs and serving as a hub for emergency response and disaster relief in the South Okanagan.

The City’s Economic Development department recognizes the economic benefits the airport provides to the community and provides support by managing a dedicated website (yyf.penticton.ca) and related social media channels.
