Schedule of events and important details for Frost Fest Winter Carnival

Service Announcement

Preparations are now underway in downtown Penticton to transform Gyro Park into a festival site that will host thousands of people during Frost Fest Winter Carnival, running this weekend (Jan. 23-25).

To ensure the public’s safety, a road closure will be in effect within the 100 block of Main Street (between Westminster and Lakeshore Drive) starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 until noon on Monday, Jan. 26.

During this time, parking will not be available on Main Street in front of City Hall or the neighbouring businesses. Access will be pedestrian‑only and drivers are asked to follow posted detours.

In addition, the outdoor rink will be closed to the public for maintenance on Tuesday, Jan. 20 and Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon each day. It will also be fully closed on Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24 for the Frost Fest hockey tournament.
