Join us to celebrate Earth Day 2026 with a fun, interactive community event highlighting sustainability, waste reduction, and climate action. The event takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Gyro Park (rain or shine).
This year’s Earth Day celebration features a passport‑style experience, encouraging visitors to explore and engage with every booth on site. Attendees can pick up a passport and collect a stamp from each participating organization as you move through the event.
Complete your passport for a chance to win a Lomi Food Waste Recycler, learn about local sustainability initiatives, enjoy hands‑on activities, giveaways, demonstrations, and conversations with community partners.
Don't miss:
- E‑bike and e‑scooter test rides with our new e-mobility shared service provider Bird Canada.
- Electronics recycling drop‑off hosted by Penticton Area Cooperative Enterprises (PACE).
- Right Tree, Right Place - learn to make tree‑smart choices, recognizing that trees need the right conditions to succeed, not just a place to plant.
- City staff available to answer questions about sustainability, solid waste, and City of Penticton parks.
Getting There
There will be free parking at the Bike Valet (for cyclists and skateboarders). There will also be free parking in the City Hall parking lot.
We look forward to celebrating Earth Day with you and continuing to build a healthier, more sustainable Penticton together. For updates and more information, visit: penticton.ca/climate-action.
