Penticton's downtown and waterfront will be bustling this weekend as RibFest, the Penticton Farmers' Market and the Downtown Community Market draw thousands of residents and visitors outdoors.
RibFest returns to Okanagan Lake Park from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, featuring barbecue vendors, live music and family-friendly entertainment, while Saturday's markets will once again transform the downtown core into a lively atmosphere with vendors, food trucks, entertainment and more.
With multiple events taking place within walking distance of one another, increased traffic, pedestrian activity and parking demand are expected throughout the weekend. Saturday is expected to be particularly busy, with limited parking availability in the downtown core during market hours (8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.).
Those travelling downtown are encouraged to allow extra time to reach their destination and consider walking, cycling or taking transit where possible.
