The City of Penticton is aware that the Evacuation Alert area for Bald Range Wildfire has been extended to the edge of the City's boundaries.
While there is no immediate risk to Penticton residents, the City is encouraging people to stay informed and take steps to be prepared should conditions change.
The City's Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has been activated and is working closely with emergency response partners to monitor conditions, support regional response efforts and ensure the community remains informed.
As part of preparedness efforts, roads previously closed for construction will be reopened to help maintain efficient traffic flow and support emergency access.
The City recognizes that wildfire activity in the region may be concerning for residents. Please be assured that officials are closely monitoring the situation and no immediate action is required.
The City will continue to provide updates through its official communication channels as more information becomes available.
