Council Decisions
255 Hastings Avenue - Development Variance Permit
After hearing from the applicant, Council approved the development variance permit for 255 Hastings Avenue, a permit that requested vehicular access from a street.
264 Wade Avenue West - Zoning Amendment Bylaw
Council gave a first reading to the zoning amendment bylaw for 264 Wade Avenue West, to allow a community care facility for 10 persons, and forwarded the zoning amendment to the Sept. 1, 2026 public hearing.
Bylaws & Permits
Council made the following decisions:
- Adopted the Firehalls Replacement and Upgrades Temporary borrowing bylaw, authorizing borrowing for the purpose of designing, expanding and constructing upgrades to the Firehalls, in the amount of thirty-eight million dollars.
- Council denied the Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw and Zoning Amendment Bylaw for 434 Lakeshore Drive West.
Land Matters
Council denied the Agricultural Land Reserve Exclusion Application for 610 Pineview road, an application to exclude a portion of the property from the Agricultural Land Reserve.

Skaha Lake Road Traffic Changes
Council directed staff to report back to Council at the next regular meeting on Sept. 1, 2026 with: The full decision-making record for the Skaha Lake Road single-lane southbound designation, traffic count and congestion data collected since the single-lane southbound designation took effect and a summary of resident and business complaints received to date.
