Fall GoByBike Week rolls into Penticton Sept. 19-25

Penticton residents are invited to get rolling as Fall GoByBike Week returns Sept. 19-25, 2026, with celebration stations, prizes and tips to help make everyday cycling easier and more enjoyable.

Riders of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part and stop by a local celebration station to learn more about cycling in Penticton:

  • Safety Village Celebration Station - Sunday, Sept. 20 from 1:30–3 p.m. 
    Explore family-friendly cycling information and bike security resources.
     
  • Breakfast Station at the Penticton Museum & Library - Thursday, Sept. 24 from 8-9 a.m. 
    Stop by along the Lake-to-Lake route on Martin Street for refreshments and to connect with other members of the cycling community.

GoByBike Week is an event intended to encourage British Columbians to incorporate bikes into work and school commutes as part of a fun, healthy and active lifestyle. Residents are encouraged to register and log their rides at gobybikebc.ca for the chance to win prizes.

The Penticton Safety Village is the home of GoByBike Penticton and offers a welcoming place for families, new riders and anyone looking to build confidence on two wheels. Visitors can connect with local cycling resources, learn about bike-friendly routes and pick up practical safety tips.
