You are invited to attend Somewhere to Stay: Youth Homelessness & Belonging in the Forever Place, a community event hosted by United Way BC and the 100 More Homes Youth Action Table (YAT). The evening will feature the premiere of a short film exploring the realities of youth homelessness in Penticton, followed by a panel discussion with individuals who bring lived experience and professional perspectives on the issue.
This film highlights the importance of creating a community where every young person have a safe and stable place to call home, and builds upon years of local community work and youth leadership.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to enjoy complimentary pizza and refreshments at 5:30pm outside of the recreation centre and and browse arts and crafts created by youth participating in Foundry Penticton's Youth Market.
As the City continues its work to advance community safety, well-being, housing stability, and youth inclusion, this event offers an opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing local youth and the collective efforts underway to support them.
