Registration now open for the 2027 Start Here Penticton Job Fair

News Release

Local employers are invited to register now for the 2027 Start Here Penticton Job Fair, returning to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on March 10, 2027. The annual event serves as a one-stop destination for individuals looking to explore career opportunities in the South Okanagan. Employers from a variety of sectors will be on hand to recruit for positions ranging from seasonal and part-time work to skilled trades and full-time careers.

“A strong workforce is essential to a thriving community,” says Blake Laven, the City’s Director of Development Services. “The Job Fair helps connect employers with the talent they need while demonstrating the wide range of careers and industries that make Penticton a great place to live and work.”

“The Start Here Penticton Job Fair is more than simply filling vacancies. It’s about connecting people with career opportunities right here in the South Okanagan, helping businesses find the talent they need, and showing residents of all ages that they don’t have to leave our region to build a rewarding career.” says Michael Magnusson, Executive Director, Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce.

Throughout the day, WorkBC will once again offer free information sessions on timely employment topics to support those in their career search. Jobseekers can also reserve a free ticket now at: penticton.ca/jobfair. While registration is not required to attend, signing up in advance helps organizers plan for the event and stay informed about attendance levels.

The Start Here Penticton Job Fair is presented by the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City of Penticton and WorkBC Centre South Okanagan.

Job Fair 2026 Testimonials:

“The 2026 Penticton Job Fair was our first time attending as an employer, and what a fantastic experience it was! Having the opportunity to meet potential employees face-to-face, engage in meaningful conversations, and get to know people beyond a résumé was something you just can't get from an online job posting.
The results spoke for themselves! We hired six employees directly from the job fair, and four are still with us. Even more impressive, all four have advanced into key positions within our business. For us, the Penticton Job Fair wasn't just about filling positions. It was about finding the right people, building relationships, and investing in our future. Belich's AG Foods is proud to be returning in 2027, and we look forward to another great opportunity to meet the people who could become the future of our team. Sometimes finding the right employee starts with a simple handshake and a conversation.”

Kyle Belich, co-owner and operator of Belich’s AG Foods in Okanagan Falls

“I went to the job fair looking for work and got to talk with employers and give them my resumé directly. Two businesses called me back, and one offered me a full-time job. I’m now working there and have benefits, too. Having those conversations in person really helped.”
