What is the PTCC assent vote and what does it mean for Penticton?

This October, as part of the General Local Election, Penticton voters will be asked a question about City-owned lands at 325 Power Street, home of the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre (PTCC).

This video explains:

• What the assent vote is about
• What a YES or NO vote would mean
• How dedicated parkland, including Bambino Field, is protected
• The history of the property and the 1912 Indenture
• What future planning and approval processes would still be required

The assent vote is not a vote to approve a hotel or any specific development proposal. Any future changes to the site would require public engagement, planning review and Council approval.
