Discovery Park

Discovery Park features a natural playground with boulders for climbing, logs for balancing, swings and an interactive water feature, to list a few highlights. It’s a place for imaginative play, while fostering a child’s physical, cognitive and emotional development. The park opened thanks to various project partners including the South Okanagan Children's Charity.

Location 

At Skaha Lake Park, south of the tennis courts on Parkview Street, Penticton

Features/Amenities
Boulders sourced from local rock quarries, combined with ropes to create climbing features
Balancing logs were built from trees that died as a result of pine beetle
Musical instruments
Earth berm slides
Playhouse and swings
Interactive water feature to educate and remind children that water is a valuable and limited resource.
