What makes Penticton so special? Over the weekend, we asked locals to write on some stickers about what they like most about Penticton. The biggest themes?
The lakes and beaches. Whether it was "double lakes," "the beach every day," or simply "the water," Pentictonites are certainly lucky to have their choice of lake each day: Skaha or Okanagan.
The people and community. Friends, family, neighbours, coworkers and the welcoming spirit of the community were mentioned again and again. Many responses highlighted the incredible people who make Penticton feel like home.
The weather. No surprise here. Sunshine, warm days and our four-season outdoor lifestyle earned plenty of love.
Outdoor adventure. From biking and hiking to kiteboarding and trails, respondents celebrated the countless ways to get outside and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Food, wine, breweries and tasty treats. Peaches, wine, craft beer, ice cream, local businesses and favourite gathering spots all made the list.
