Tips to reduce yard waste:

• Backyard composting: Not only will you reduce the amount of yard waste entering the landfill, but you’ll improve soil fertility in your yard. More information can be found on the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen’s website.
• Grass cycling: Consider simply leaving grass clippings on the lawn after mowing. You’ll save time, energy and grow a healthier lawn.

You can upsize your existing 240 litre yard waste cart to 360 litres, increasing your annual cost of collection by $40.60/year, or add an additional 240 litre cart to your existing cart, increasing your annual cost of collection by $81.20/year. Visit our Cart Program page for further details.

• Please leave a minimum of 3ft/1m of space between carts and additional yard waste.

• Yard waste contained in plastic bags will not be accepted.
