Adventure Race World Championships coming to town
Council has thrown its support behind the 2025 Adventure Race World Championships.

Council received quarterly reports from finance, public safety and partnerships, RCMP and economic development, as well as on capital projects.

More housing units approved
Council rezoned a property at 795 Ontario Street. The applicant is proposing to construct two 4-unit townhouses (8 dwelling units in total).
Air quality station approved
Council approved a five-year license to use that will allow the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy to use a portion of McNicoll Park for an air quality monitoring station.
The proposed station would provide real-time measurements of fine particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide and ground-level ozone and would allow the reporting of local Air Quality Health Index Values for Penticton and the wider South Okanagan region.
Audited Financial Statements accepted
Council accepted the Financial Statements, as co-presented by BDO Canada LLP, for the year ending December 31, 2023.
Overall the financial position of the City remains strong with net financial assets of $82.5 million and non-financial assets of $330 million.
