B.C. pumps $1.06 million funding into 22 Penticton events to support their return

Tag(s): Living Here, Love Local

Here in Penticton, we love our local events! And we’re thrilled to hear that the Government of B.C. will be providing $1.06 million in grants to help support the return of 22 local events.

They were selected as part of B.C.’s Fairs, Festivals and Events Recovery Fund, which will see nearly $30 million spent through one-time grants to eligible event organizers to support their efforts to resume safely.

Recipients demonstrated the economic and social benefits to the community and strong local or regional support. Eligible expenses include operational costs, health and safety measures, venue rental, marketing, wages and promotion.

These are the 22 events in Penticton that will receive funding. To learn more, visit the Province of B.C.’s website.
