A range of parking options are available throughout Penticton, including on-street and metered parking lots. In high-demand areas, such as downtown and around Penticton Regional Hospital, various regulations are used to balance the needs of motorists and residents.

Free Parking on Weekends during the Holiday Shopping Season
Free on-street parking returns to downtown Penticton on Fridays and Saturdays for five weekends beginning Nov. 28, 2025, to encourage shopping local. Also, parking on Sundays is always free.
Parking is limited to two free hours, to ensure spaces open up at regular intervals, and only applies to on-street parking pay stations and metered stalls. City parking lots and private parking lots are not included. Regular on-street parking rates will resume on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025.
Parking Downtown
Parking meters are located throughout downtown, with parking available at a rate of $2 per hour. Paid parking is in effect Monday to Saturday (exept statutory holidays) between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Passport Parking Canada app provides the easiest way to pay for parking using your mobile phone, with further details available below.
