Mobile food vendors who wish to conduct business in Penticton must have their vehicles inspected by the Penticton Fire Department every year.
Annual Inspections
Contact us to book your inspection appointment. We will review your equipment, service reports, and documentation. Once approved, the Fire Department will fix a decal to the vehicle and the operator will be added to a list of mobile vendors approved to operate within the City for that year.

Free Inspections - 2 Days Only
The Penticton Fire Department is offering FREE inspections for two days only, on April 21 & 22, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the South Okanagan Events Centre, Southwest parking lot. To book your appointment, call 250-490-2300 or email fire-inspectors@penticton.ca. Walk-ins welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please ensure all life safety equipment servicing is completed before your scheduled inspection date. Additionally, have all applicable gas and electrical certifications available at the time of inspection.
