On Saturday, July 4th, The Penticton Scottish Festival is a full day celebration encompassing Scottish events and performances such as pipe band adjudicated performances, Highland dance, heavy events athletic demonstration, a dog agility show, the Society for Creative Anachronism performs a reenactment of battle, and the Entertainment Stage is graced by many local artists.
There is an adjoining beverage garden as well as food and merchandise vendors. The Festival hosts a Cultural Tent for people to learn about Scottish Culture as well as try on the traditional Great Kilt. The Scot Castle Kid Zone is an area where children can do structured crafts, and try traditional Scottish sports such as golf, curling and caber toss. Events are staggered throughout the day.
