Although Canada Post is resuming operations, the City is reminding customers that it will take some time for mail services to get fully caught up. According to Canada Post, mail is anticipated to continue to be delayed for at least the next month before returning to regular service levels.
Customers are still responsible for ensuring that their payments are received on time regardless of the continued postal service disruptions. As a reminder, the City will be issuing automated calls on Thursday, Dec. 19 and Friday, Dec. 20 to customers who still have balances owing for the December 23 due date. If you are uncertain about your deadline, you can refer to billing dates found at the top right of your previous bills.
The public is encouraged to access their utility billing information and sign up for electronic bills (email billing) using the City’s online platform MyCity. For information on how to access and pay your utility bill, including creating an account at MyCity or paying online at My Payments, visit penticton.ca/utilities.
The customer service team is available to assist you by email at utilities@penticton.ca, calling 250-490-2489, or in-person at City Hall Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
