Aug. 27, 2026: Travellers are advised that paving work will require a temporary single-lane closure affecting access to Haven Hill on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The closure will be in effect on Eckhardt Avenue East from the east side of Government Street to Ontario Street. Anyone travelling up Haven Hill during construction hours will need to use an alternate route via Vancouver Avenue. Travel down Haven Hill will remain open.
Drivers are asked to follow all posted traffic signs and allow extra travel time while crews complete the work.
Construction on Eckhardt Avenue is now heading into the final stages, with this road ready to fully reopen before the return to school. Streetlight poles will be going up this week, with line painting and final landscaping touches also yet to be completed.
