The Penticton Sikh Temple is inviting the community to take part in its annual Khalsa Day Parade, also known as Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan.
On Sunday, May 10, the celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with organizers welcoming residents, visitors and people from across British Columbia to join in the festivities which are billed as promoting unity, cultural understanding and community spirit.
The parade will begin at the temple and travel along a designated route through Penticton. Road closures will be in effect between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to ensure the safety of participants, and the public is being asked for patience and cooperation.
